Sorry
Sorry its been so long since I last posted it really was my goal to post more often but we've had a rough week or so, a good one as well mixed in there.
I'm so tired but I suppose thats nothing new, even though if possible I feel more tired and overwhelemed then i did befor (yeah hard to imagine but oh well.)
Let me try to think of all the "new" stuff this week or so since I last posted... we scheduled Baila Nechama's surgery for a week from the Wed after Peasach, they are not sure if they will keep her overnight or not. Originally they told me for sure they would have to but we had an issue b/c both kids are nursing and dont take bottles and they did nto want to let Gavriel stay overnight to make a long story short they will let him stay if we have to but if Baila Nechama is doing well (I'h she will be) they will let her go home, we are keeping her on her monitor after the surgery for 3 days to make sure she's ok, apparently preemies especially ones born as young as ours often "forget" to breath as a side effect of the anistisia. Also I was upset b/c they said I would not be able to be with Baila right after surgery till she "wakes up" and aprently that is the norm. To make a long story short again I will be able to be with her sooner then that baring any complications with her. I'm so nervous I know this is a "routine" surgery and after all we've been threw this is "nothing" but its frightening none the less. The fact that she has to be put on a ventilator is very scary and that's aside from the idea that it is surgery! I can't wait for it to be over and done with!!!!!
On Sunday we all went for a walk in Frick Park (even Avi) it was so so nice to get out. and since it was stunning on Monday I took the twins on a walk to my mothers house and we spent the afternoon there. they were so surpised :)
I wanted to go for a walk yesterday but we had an appointment with the developmental clinic and by the time we got home I was so so wiped I could not go for a walk and after the ENT visit today (I'll tell you about it in a second) I'm really wiped again. though I was going to push myself to get out for the walk but when I went out it was drizzling so I took the kids in their bouncers outside on the front stoup it was nice to get some fresh air after being cooped up all winter!
So Gavriel Simcha Gedalia had an apointment with an ENT Dr. Ottsman (no ideahow the proper spelling of his name is. first we were seen by a resident (uggh, that always anoys me I dont mind them messing around a bit extra with me I know they need to learn but I dont want them messing with my kids! to the residents credit he was good, I was comfortable with him or I would have told him to leave (like I normally do) (compleatly off topic: well not compleatly but when I was in labor in VA (before we knew I was even in labor) this brand new med student came in to see me (he'd just started his rotation so he was brand spanking new!) He comes in to take a backround on me, he starts with stupid questions that he totally should have known and keeps asking dumb question after dumb question. then he takes my pusle and asked "are you nervous about something? your pulse is quick!" I almost hit him! I calmly said Yes I'm in the hospital at 24weeks possibly in labor, what do you think? after he left I was shaking so hard I turned to the nurse opend my mouth and she said "I'll tell him he's not to come back in!" LOL to finish the sidetrack, the L&D trieoge in VA was just a big room with curtains so for the mostpart I could hear what was going on. The Cheif Resident (yeah resident again but thats what you get at 1am (I did make them go wake the chief resident though LOL after the earlyer residents got on my nerves for not making sense (how some people get threw med school (or nursing school) bogeles my mind but thats a rant for a different day) so the cheif resident was wonderful she talked to me and got me clamed down as we talked about the options etc. anyway she took my pulse when she walked out of the room the med student asked to know what it was, she told him he said did you take it twice sometimes the machines are not as good as when you do it yourself I got it so much higher. threw clenched teeth she said "I TOOK IT MYSELF!" LOL I almost fell off the table :)
anyway here I am rambling away. bottom line Gavriel may have to have his Adanoides removed :( I really hope not b/c I dont want to have to deal with another surgery. I would love to just have things go "normal" from here on out!
Baila's waking up so I'm goign to have to cut this short :) I'll try to get some pics up soon.
Oh and Please please please, donate to the March of dimes walkathon, I'll explain more about March of Dimes another time but sufice it to say they helped us alot in the NICU in VA you can donate online or send me a check made out to March of Dimes. Or if you prefer, raise money yourself and join us at PNC park for the walk :)
